Race Flow
Development specializes in getting the most out of your engine
for Road Race, Circle track and Drag Racing applications. RFD
is a full service machine shop and uses only the best equipment.
We have a full 5-Axis Simultaneous CnC machine with Centroid control.
Rottler Seat & Guide machine, Berco surfacer, Saenz &
custom flowbenches.
Our Saenz
600 is used for flow and high air speed testing. It can flow 620
cfm @ 28" and is also used to drive the wet flow tests. It's
primary function is velocity testing and with a booster box can
reach very high air speeds. Our bench has been calibrated with
sharp edge orifice plates to the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers MFC-3M-1989 national standard. No inflated flow numbers
here!
Great cylinder
heads and port design is a never ending process. The hundreds
of hours designing, hand grinding, digitizing and flow testing
ends up on the dyno and race track, only to start the process
all over. RFD never rests on it’s latest development
but continues to develop on an on going bases. It's the research
and development that drives RFD and it's what we
do best. All of our CnC ported heads are custom built one set
at a time assuring you the best cylinder head for your application.
We give our
in-house 5 axis CnC a real work out on a daily basis. All our
digitizing and programing is done in-house to allow us to make
the best use of CnC, CAD modeling as well as CFD modeling. All
of our programs can be modified to fit your application and that's
just what we do. Every CnC project is adjusted to fit the application.
Not shelf stock run-of-the-mill CnC programs, RFD
performans all custom work. We can make very accurate adjustments
in cross sectional area & port volume to fit any application.
Custom CnC
projects and CnC programing is our specialty. If you have a Head
you need duplicated "private label" CnC is just what
we do. We are THE most trustworthy CnC shop there is, we will
not share you sensitive data and will do everything in out power
to make sure your project is a success.
Our current
area of development specialization involves SB2.2, 10 & 18
degree heads for circle track & drag, NHRA Pro Stock, V8 Drag
Racing & Road Racing and as always large CI big block.
